Carlene Pruitt is the Founder and Principal of CPComs, a strategic communications agency that helps organizations break through, stand out, and grow with purpose. For over 25 years, Carlene has built a reputation as a strategic communicator, brand builder, and social impact entrepreneur, elevating visibility and driving market impact for Fortune 100 companies, nonprofits, and emerging brands.

Carlene calls herself a personal trainer for brands, delivering the creative edge and strategic impact that brands need to grow stronger and smarter. Her leadership spans diverse industries, from beauty and consumer products to energy and mission-driven organizations. Before launching her own firm, Carlene held senior roles leading communications and brand strategy at DeVries Global, L’Oréal USA, and Nautilus Solar Energy. Over the course of her career, Carlene has directed integrated communications campaigns for some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including L’Oréal, Crest, Olay, Pantene, Ecco, Brooks Brothers, M&M Mars, and Godiva.

Beyond her professional work, Carlene is a dedicated community leader and philanthropist, bringing her strategic communications expertise to serve on boards in the medical, education, and service industries. Her work, whether with a client or a cause, is driven by purpose, clarity, and integrity.

Carlene holds an MBA from Rutgers Business School and is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University. Outside of work, you can find her with a racquet or golf club in hand or traveling with her husband and their four children.
